So Jaime and I have been convinced (ok, I required more convincing than she did!) that we should add Paris onto our London itinerary. When I heard from multiple people that Paris is a short train ride away and we would still have sufficient time in London, I was sold! It helped that Jaime was enthusiastic about it!
So the current plan, albeit a very early plan, is to fly into Charles De Gaulle, spend the weekend in Paris, take the Eurostar to London, and spend a week there. I’ve been tasked with coming up with a rough itinerary of each city to determine whether we have the time. Or, perhaps, what exactly we have time for.
Of the highlights we hope to see in Paris are: the Eiffel Tower (duh), Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre (at least Mona Lisa!), Notre Dame, Champs-Elysees (we have to do some shopping, right?!?!), Montmarte (Sacre Couer), and we will no doubt eat a lot of great breads and chocolates! Who knows, maybe I’ll even try something new!
As much as I hate the French, I am really looking forward to all Paris has to offer. At least for a weekend!
